DAYTON, Tenn. — Nokian Tyres P.L.C. is asking drivers in North America to share their favorite road trips, in return for a chance to win a set of Nokian tires and other prizes.

The Finnish-based tire maker is holding a Remote Control campaign, which offers travel safety tips while detailing follower's favorite road trip trail maps, as well as helping drivers choose the right tires for their summer trip.

The contest runs until July 31, and residents of the U.S. and Canada can enter by clicking here.

Nokian said its goal with the contest is to help consumers understand "they can take control over their remote getaways by embracing important tire safety actions, including picking the best all-terrain and all-season tires."

Nokian said tire safety is important during the busy travel season.

"Our Remote Control campaign seeks to educate and entertain drivers before they embark on their summer trips," the company said.

Consumers may enter the contest by adding their favorite road trips to a user-generated map. They also can browse the map to explore others' favorite remote journeys. The site also includes product information and a tire dealer locator. Drivers may enter one road trip per day.

Nokian said it will share some of the top adventures to its followers on social media channels throughout the campaign — @NokianTyresNA on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Nokian launched the all-terrain, all-weather Outpost line of tires earlier this year.
