ATLANTA — NexTraq L.L.C., a Group Michelin company focused on telematics solutions, is improving the safety and liability protection features of its signature product, the NexTraq Dashcam high-definition vehicle incident camera system.
"Fleet managers will now be able to request specific videos and images for specific dates, times, or locations for insight into incidents, thefts and real-time check-ins," the company said.
This takes "the guesswork out of conflicting reports of actual events while it instills peace of mind for drivers, passengers and customers," NexTraq said.
The improvements include real-time alerts, image requests from events, downloadable videos and live GPS location.
NexTraq Dashcam, which can connect to mobile devices including smart phones, tablets and notebooks, provides real-time alerts with high-definition video coverage of vehicle events, including moments before, during and after, the company said.
NexTraq is part of Michelin's Global Services and Solutions business. Hundreds of thousands of vehicles and mobile assets use the system in the U.S. and Canada, the company said.
