DIAMOND BAR, Calif. — Nexen Tire America Inc. has integrated its online retail marketing platform in order to offer social media content and post automation to its dealer network.
The platform allows Nexen dealers to increase their social media audience, bolstered by Nexen-provided content. The feature, Nexen said, is available to provide "dealers with the tools necessary to begin utilizing a consumer-focused social media strategy and build a successful following."
Content will be updated monthly, the company said, free to dealers, with an investment of just a few minutes of time. Dealers may share posts provided by Nexen automatically. The dealers business name, address, phone number and more can be generated in every post.
John Hagan, executive vice president of sales for Nexen Tire America, said the company recognizes the power of social media.
"We believe our dealers can highly benefit from this free software," Mr. Hagan said. "This platform allows our network of dealers to reach new audiences by using carefully crafted social media content, and we believe using this platform will help dealers to better connect with consumers."
Dealers who sign up for this feature may manually share posts, customize content and/or download company assets from Nexen's asset library. Tools are available for sharing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and email. Dealers can focus advertising to reach consumers within a target demographic nearest their store.
Nexen said more than 90% of shoppers turn to social media for retail purchasing decisions, and 78% of consumers say a company's social media posts impact purchasing decisions.
Dealers will have the option of posting and sharing content, such as Nexen's existing national content, or create their own. The platform also allows for full automation, with Nexen handling all functions for the dealer.
Dealers may feature such campaigns as:
- Nexen holiday posts, set to start for Valentine's Day;
- Roadian MTX Xtreme Off-Road;
- Nexen mobile app;
- Retailer information, including hours and locations; and
- Inspirational material, including visually appealing cars/trucks.
