    DIAMOND BAR, Calif. — Nexen Tire America Inc. has launched a mobile app that the tire maker said is designed specifically to provide improved support for its dealer network.

    According to Nexen, the app will help generate customer leads, showcase Nexen products in a user-friendly interview, streamline communication from customers and simplify the sales process.

    The app features an interactive augmented reality (AR) function that Nexen said lets consumers view how a new set of Nexen tires will look on their vehicle. The app integrates its existing dealer locator search function, which allows users to request more information or request an appointment at their nearest Nexen Tire dealer.

    The app can be downloaded from the the iTunes and Google Play app stores and is available for Apple and Android devices.

    Nexen said the app was developed exclusively for Nexen Tire Next Level dealers in order to help them increase tire sales and vehicle repair business.

    John Hagan, executive vice president of sales for Nexen Tire America, Inc. said its Next Level dealers are the "backbone of the company."

    "By developing this app, we are showing our continued commitment to giving them the tools they need to quickly connect with customers and increase their ability to provide the highest level of customer service," Mr. Hagan said.

    The app contains a consumer face with several tools that helps customers select tires, find their closest Nexen Tire dealer and request an appointment to have new tires installed.

    Appointments requested via the app are sent directly to the nearest Nexen Tire dealer, allowing the retailer to follow up with customers quickly and begin "a high-quality customer service experience that helps increase sales opportunities," Nexen said.

    Consumers who use the locator and appointment request feature on the Nexen website also can request quotes that will funnel through the Nexen app, which triggers instant notification for dealers, including the consumers' contact information.

    Other features of the app include:

    • User-friendly navigation: Consumers may search by vehicle application, tire size or VIN;
    • Access and detailed information on Nexen products, including available sizes and speed, treadwear and weight ratings;
    • Consistent support from Nexen representatives;
    • Easy-to-use lead management system for all Next Level Dealers;
    • Ability to share tire information via email; and
    • Connection to register tires, warranty information and social media.

    Training videos also are available for dealers.

    "We worked extremely hard to pack this app full of features for dealers and consumers, making it easier than ever for customers to find the right tires and connect with their nearest Nexen Tire dealers," Mr. Hagan said. "We are confident this will make it easier for dealers to manage customer service relationships, build lasting relationships with their customers and increase sales."
