AMSTERDAM — Nexen Tire Corp. has earned "Best Supplier" status from Stellantis N.V., the global producer of vehicle brands Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Peugeot, Ram, Renault, etc., in the "competitiveness" category
Seoul, South Korea-based Nexen Tire received the award in a virtual awards ceremony held June 1.
Amsterdam-based Stellantis — the successor to Fiat-Chrysler Holdings after its merger earlier this year with PSA Group — honored Nexen and automotive seating supplier Adient P.L.C. for "their outstanding performance in terms of cost savings (commercial, process, technical solutions and logistics) and their proposals for a cost reduction portfolio in line with Stellantis' objectives."
Among others, Nexen Tire supplies tires for Stellantis' Chrysler, Fiat, Jeep and Ram brands.
"We are honored to receive this award," Nexen Tire CEO Travis Kang said.
"It is truly meaningful to be recognized as an exceptional supplier at Stellantis' first supplier-award event. We will continue to make progress toward becoming a growing supplier to auto makers."
Nexen Tire said it intends to use this award to boost its quality and technology competitiveness in global marketplaces around the world.
