WICHITA, Kan. — Nebraskaland, Kansasland, Coloradoland Tire Group (NKC Tire) has converted its 46 retail, commercial and wholesale locations to MAM Software Inc.'s VAST Point of Sale software, according to the Blue Bell, Pa.-based software developer.
The dealership, which chose the VAST system to replace the Goodyear Business Management System GBMS it's used for the past 25 years, is planning to add MAM's "CarSide" digital inspection application as part of its conversion, MAM said.
"This was a huge change for us after so many years on GBMS," NKC Tire Group Vice President Carson Wright said in a quote supplied by MAM.
"We all were really pleased with how MAM Software worked with us through this change and we are now reaping the benefits of the new system, including better inventory management, electronic ordering of parts and tires within our point of sale," he added.
NKC Tire has a presence in five states, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas, under five retail brands: Coloradaland Tire, Kansasland Tire, Nebraskaland Tire, Guymon Tire and Auto Service, and PanHandle Tire and Service.
The dealership was started in 1971 by Gary Wright, who continues today as president of the family-owned business.
VAST POS was designed to optimize business performance and improve customer service practices, MAM said. The latest version is designed to integrate with MAM Software's parts catalog and connectivity solution, VAST Commerce, and with CarSide, a mobile and tablet app that drives electronic vehicle health checks and vehicle damage inspections.
"We have invested a lot of resources into developing new features and solutions through the help of our customers over the years," John Fischer, vice president, sales and marketing for MAM, said.
"Having NKC Tire Group see the value in MAM Software and our solutions, encourages us to go even further."
MAM CEO Heather Preu added: "We are excited to grow this relationship and look forward to partnering with them on future enhancements."
