GARDENA, Calif. — Private- and import-brand tire distributor Tireco Inc. is initiating a 30-day ride guarantee as well as road-hazard protection on select Milestar tires.

According to Tireco, these programs will provide "more support for dealers as tire purchasing becomes more challenging with so many brands" in the marketplace.

The ride guarantee gives consumers a 30-day, hassle-free trial period to test the tires. If the consumer is not satisfied with the purchase, he or she may return them to the original place of purchase, with an original sales receipt.

Customers then can purchase a new set of tires of equal or lesser value from the original place of purchase.

The road-hazard protection program offers consumers free tire replacement through an authorized Milestar dealer, in the event a tire becomes damaged due to cuts, punctures, snags, bruises, tears or impact breaks within the first 12 months of the tire's purchase date or the first 2/32nds-inch wear from the original tread depth, whichever comes first.

Both programs begin in January 2020 and include the MS932Sport, MS932XP+, Weatherguard AW365, Patagonia H/T and Patagonia A/T R, Tireco said.

"We believe in the our tire technology and manufacturing quality so much so that we are backing them with programs to support consumer confidence," Andrew Hoit, Tireco's vice president of sales and marketing, said. "It is our pledge to our dealers that the performance of Milestar Tires continues to exceed consumer expectations."

At the 2019 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas, Mr. Hoit said Tireco may implement a "full-blown associate dealer program" for the Milestar brand by midyear.

Besides Milestar, Gardena-based Tireco distributes the Nankang and Westlake brands in North America.
