JERSEY CITY, New Jersey — Group Michelin and Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. are among the companies being recognized as the World's Best Employers 2020.
Clermont-Ferrand, France-based Michelin was ranked at No. 59, while Findlay, Ohio-based Cooper was ranked No. 143 out of 750 companies listed, putting them in the top 20 percent of the Forbes list.
Other tire makers on the list include Continental A.G. at No. 167, Bridgestone Corp. at No. 364 and Goodyear at No. 558.
Forbes compiled the ranking based on employee ratings on topics including COVID-19 response, gender equality, social responsibility, talent development and economic footprint.
"Being ranked a World's Best Employer speaks volumes about our company culture and practices, and the pride employees take in being part of the Cooper team," said Paula Whitesell, senior vice president and chief human resources officer.
The Forbes list includes companies headquartered in 45 countries. Some 160,000 workers in 58 countries were surveyed to compile information used to determine the winners.
