WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — McCarthy Tire Service has struck a deal to buy LS Truck Tire Repair Inc., a Philadelphia-based dealership with five commercial servicing locations in the greater Philadelphia market, including two in New Jersey.
The move will shore up McCarthy's presence in the Philadelphia/New Jersey market, where the Wilkes-Barre-based dealership has three locations.
Founded in 2012 by former McCarthy Tire employees Leandro (Lee) Lamounier and Horacio Ventura, LS Truck Tire Repair offers commercial tire sales and service, drive-in service, wheel balancing, alignments, rim and wheel reconditioning and 24-hour emergency road service.
Lamounier and Ventura are expected to join McCarthy Tire in as-yet undisclosed roles. LS Tire's 55 employees are expected to join McCarthy Tire as well.
"We have the upmost respect for the accomplishments of these young, successful businessmen and the amazing success they have achieved in such a short period of time," John McCarthy Jr., president of McCarthy Tire Service, said.
