The Maxxis Victra Sport EV — a new product category for Maxxis Tire — won best new tire product at the 2022 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS — Maxxis-, Mastercraft- and Toyo-branded tires were named the best new tire products at the 2022 SEMA Show, as judged by the Specialty Equipment Market Association, which noted that the awards go to the "most innovative and cutting-edge" automotive aftermarket products available in 2022.

The Maxxis Victra Sport EV — a new product category for Maxxis Tire — won best new tire product, ahead of the Mastercraft Courser Trail HD from Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. and the Toyo Open Country R/T Trail from Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.

Tire companies enter their own products in the judging.

SEMA's annual New Product Awards competition recognizes outstanding achievements in the development of products being introduced to the automotive specialty-equipment market at the SEMA Show. Products are judged in 18 award categories, and each category has one winner and two runners-up.

Nearly 2,000 products were entered into the 18 showcase categories to be considered for a SEMA New Product Awards this year. Winners were selected based on a variety of factors that included superiority of innovation, technical achievement, quality and workmanship, consumer appeal and marketability, and more.

    Other category winners worth noting:

    Wheel and related products:

    • MMX Forged Wheel from MMX Wheels, winner; and Icon Alloys 17-inch Rebound SLX from ICON Vehicle Dynamics and Lynx Trail Gunner Wheel for Ford Bronco, from Quadratec, runners-up.

Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) products:

    • AllData ADAS Quick Reference from Alldata L.L.C., winner; and Hands-on ADAS Calibration Training from I-CAR, and Test Drive CoPilot from Opus IVS, runners-up.
