DANVERS, Mass. — Maxam Tire North America Inc. has added the MS412 tire, in size 27.00R49, to its open-pit mining, quarry and OTR tire portfolio.
The MS412 features a high net-to-gross tread pattern, providing low wear rates that help increase tire life; stone ejectors to provide protection from stone drilling; tread grooves that allow for improved traction and heat dissipation.
To enable high-speed operation with minimum heat build-up, Maxam said it has optimized the MS412's base compound to help maximize productivity for mining operations globally.
The tire features an all-steel casing to reduce cuts and punctures during severe hauling conditions; a high lug-to-void ratio for improved wear and impact protection; and deep tread grooves to provide cooler running tread and longer tire life.
Delivering a premium E4 haulage tire to the industry, the Maxam MS412 provides improved performance, minimum cost-per-hour and a high net-to-gross pattern for maximum tread wear, the company said.
The MS412 is available in one size but in multiple tread compounds, including the ultra-cut resistant compound.
Danvers-based Maxam Tire North America is a division of Maxam Tire International S.a.r.l. of Luxembourg, which, in turn, is part of China's Sailun Group. Maxam specializes in specialty OTR tire products, covering applications for the mining, construction, warehousing and manufacturing.
