The AgriXtra N family of products is designed to deliver high-clearance tractors and self-propelled high-clearance sprayers with a tire solution that can improve productivity and reduce soil compaction,

LOUISVILLE — Maxam Tire International S.a.r.l. has developed a range of VF (very high flexion) agricultural tires that it will be launching throughout 2022, starting with the AgriXtra N VF380/90R46 at the upcoming National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville Feb. 16-19.

The AgriXtra N (narrow) family of products is designed to deliver high-clearance tractors and self-propelled high-clearance sprayers with a tire solution that can improve productivity and reduce soil compaction, Maxam said.

Featuring a 45° lug profile that provides "excellent" traction and stability ensuring minimal vibration when roading, the AgriXtra N VF380/90R46 will be the first of several VF tires Maxam plans to launch globally this year.

"Our VF Technology is just another milestone in Maxam's development of product solutions for not only agriculture but as well the mining, forestry, construction, and industrial tire markets," Greg Gilland, vice president of global agriculture, Maxam Tire North America Inc., said.

"Maxam Tire is committed to delivering innovative business solutions in every tire segment we serve."

Engineered through the development of "cutting-edge" rubber compounding and casing materials, Maxam VF-technology products can support very high levels of tire deflection up to the tire's rated speed capability, the Danvers, Mass.-based company said.

The VF Series will allow customers to carry 40% more tire load at standard air pressures or operate at 40% less air pressure for the given tire load. Depending on the customer's need, the VF performance advantage can deliver either reduced soil compaction or the ability to carry heavier loads without compromising traction.

This combination of performance attributes can help deliver improved productivity, Maxam Tires, a business unit of China's Sailun Group, said.
