NOKIA, Finland — Nokian Tyres P.L.C. has appointed Anna Hyvönen, a member of the firm's management team for the past four years, senior vice president, North America, replacing Mark Earl, who has left Nokian "to pursue other career opportunities."
Ms. Hyvönen adds responsibility for North America to her duties as senior vice president for Nokian's Nordics region and the Vianor retail tire and auto service business.
Tommi Heinonen, Head of Sales, North America, will start reporting to Ms. Hyvönen, who joined Nokian in 2016. Prior to that she held executive positions with Ramirent P.L.C., KONE Corp. and Nokia Networks.
Mr. Earl joined Nokian in March 2018 from Hennessy Industries to become vice president, Americas Business Area, tasked with implementing the company's North American business strategy, including doubling sales by 2023.
"I want to thank Mark for his contributions to the company over the past years. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors," Nokian Tyres President and CEO Jukka Moisio said.
North America represents about 12% of Nokian's global sales.
