GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. — Leeds West Groups (LWG) has acquired a pair of Big O Tires locations in Colorado, in Colorado Springs and Monument, from Lone Star Investments L.L.C.
The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, expands LWG's Big O Tires presence in Colorado to 11 stores and 28 Big O stores overall in five states. The others are in Kentucky, New Mexico, Ohio and Texas.
Lone Star Investments is owned by Tony Porras, who opened the two Big O locations 20 years ago.
The stores will be under the district management of Trey Good, who oversees LWG's Big O Tires activities in Colorado,
"We have had our eye on the Colorado Springs market for the last 18 months from a strategic growth standpoint," LWG CEO Judd Shader said, "as we focus on growing out the I-25 corridor between our Denver and New Mexico markets. We are very excited about this strategic growth into Colorado Springs."
This deal marks LWG's 23rd store acquisition in the last 18 months. With 109 stores total, LWG is considered the 12th largest independent retail tire and auto service dealership in the U.S. Its other stores are under the Midas and SpeeDee brands.
