AKRON, Ohio — Jeff Schuster, president, Americas Operation and Global Vehicle Forecasting for LMC Automotive, has agreed to be a keynote speaker at ITEC 2020.
Mr. Schuster, who has been tracking developments in the global automotive industry for over 20 years for LMC and JD Power & Associates, will deliver his keynote presentation at 10 a.m. on Sept. 14
The biennial International Tire Exhibition & Conference (ITEC), organized by Rubber & Plastics News for the past 26 years, is being held as a virtual event this year, running Sept. 8-11 and 14-18.
The decision to transition to a virtual event was made in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the complications presented with attempting to hold a conference and trade show in person.
Mr. Schuster's presentation will be one of two keynotes scheduled for this year's ITEC.
Brian Goldstine, president, Mobility Solutions and Fleet Management for Bridgestone Americas, will be the Week 1 keynote speaker. His presentation is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Sept. 8.
Mr. Goldstine is responsible for developing and scaling Bridgestone Americas' mobility solutions offering to deliver customer-centric offerings that extend beyond traditional tires and service.
ITEC 2020 Virtual Edition will hold live conference sessions each weekday, with sessions scheduled for both the morning and afternoon. The livestream lineup includes keynote speakers, individual presentations and panel sessions, such as the ITEC Women's Leadership Panel Discussion.
Each weekday at noon EDT, ITEC 2020 attendees also can participate in "Ask the Expert" livestream events and Q&A sessions with show exhibitors.
Show organizers also will award the Harold Herzlich Distinguished Technology Achievement Medal. The honor recognizes innovators in tire manufacturing, tire reliability or performance. The award is named after Herzlich, the former longtime technical editor of Rubber & Plastics News and chairman emeritus of ITEC.
ITEC 2020 Virtual also will include a matchmaking networking opportunity for participants as a way to connect buyers and sellers. Attendees will receive recommended matches based on their registration profile and have the ability to search for additional matches with category and keyword filters.
Registration for an all-access pass to ITEC 2020 Virtual is free through July 31. Beginning Aug. 1, the cost will be $149.
