YUKON, Okla.— Leeds West Groups (LWG) has acquired a Big O Tires outlet in Yukon, a western suburb of Oklahoma City, extending its network of Big O locations to four in Oklahoma and 34 nationwide.
Greenwood Village, Colo.-LWG acquired the business from franchisee Craig Brown,
LWG extended its network of Big O stores into Oklahoma in early 2021, taking over Big O stores in Enid, Mustang and Norman, Okla., from MFA Oil Co., which continues to operate Big O stores in Arkansas and Missouri.
The acquisition, for which no financial details were disclosed, expands LWG’s retail presence in Oklahoma to 10 locations — six Midas Auto Care and the four Big O points of sale.
The six-bay store serves customers in Yukon, a community of roughly 27,000 residents about 15 miles west of downtown Oklahoma City. .
Derek Wessels, LWG chief operating officer and president of LWG Automotive Division, will oversee the business. LWG is considered the nation’s largest Big O Tires franchisee, with 34 locations in 14 states.
