Kumho's Road Venture AT52 is a light truck tire that is severe snow-service rated and will be available in 54 sizes.

ATLANTA — Kumho Tire USA is upgrading its all-terrain tire portfolio in North America with the launch of the Road Venture AT52, a light truck tire that is severe snow-service rated and will be available in 54 sizes.

The new product, which replaces the Road Venture AT51, is designed for drivers of pickup trucks and sport-utility vehicles who are looking for performance in rugged terrains, on-road comfort and a confidence-inspiring all-season ride.

The AT51 has been on the market since 2015.

The new product will be available in 54 sizes covering 15- to 20-inch rim diameter fitments and covered by warranties of 50,000 miles on LT and flotation sizes and 55,000 miles on Euro-metric sizes. Kumho also will offer road-hazard protection on the new line.

Pricing information was not disclosed at this time.

Kumho executives are confident the AT52 will be a great addition to the growing all-terrain segment — a focal point for Kumho — with its aggressive design, durability and key performance attributes.

The Road Venture AT52 will provide year-round traction in any situation including winter condition driving; it carries the industry's 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake winter conditions rating.

The AT52 features a cut- and chip-resistant tread compound for added durability, Kumho said, and the use high-density, multi-angle sipes ensures all-season performance while the deep main lateral grooves and wide sub-lateral grooves provide off-road traction.

Atlanta-based Kumho Tire USA is the U.S. sales, marketing, product development, and distribution arm of South Korea's Kumho Tire Co. Inc.
