NASHVILLE, Tenn. —Keter Tire (USA) is launching a pair of drive tires in its Neoterra truck/bus tire line: the CD301 closed-shoulder and OD311 open- shoulder.
The CD301, a closed shoulder drive tire with 28/32nds-inch tread depth, is made with a proprietary compound that makes it suitable for both over-the-road and regional applications, according to Nashville-based Keter, the U.S. sales subsidiary of China's Qingdao Keter Tyre Co. Ltd.
The product features an extra wide footprint for handling and stability and a tread design that delivers smooth and even wear, according to the company.
The CD301 is available in eight SKUs, in 22.5- and 24.5-inch rim diameters.
The OD311, an open shoulder drive, has a tread depth of 26/32nds to 28/32nds inch that varies by size. The open shoulders provide more traction for applications that require more stable footing, Keter said.
The OD311 comes in 12 SKUS, in sizes covering 19.5- to 24.5-inch tread depths.
Keter Tire USA CEO Rick Phillips described the products as "excellent complements" to the Neoterra TBR portfolio.
Keter Tire (USA) recently added two NeoTerra-brand on-/off-road commercial truck tires to its North American portfolio. The MS231 mixed-service all-position tire and MS321 mixed-service deep-tread drive tire, are engineered to perform in "extreme and severe applications."
Qingdao Keter Tyre sources the NeoTerra line from Jiangsu General Science Technology Co. Ltd.'s newly opened plant in Thailand.
