BARBERTON, Ohio — JohnDow Industries Inc. (JDI) has promoted three employees to new roles in a move that will support company growth.

The company promoted John "Jack" Blackburn Jr., director of engineering, to vice president of manufacturing and engineering; David Riggs, product and category manager to director of product and category management; and Traffic Coordinator Pat McNulty to traffic manager.

In his new role, Blackburn will lead JDI manufacturing and engineering as the company continues to expand contract and internal manufacturing operations. His role includes purchasing and inventory management in addition to quality assurance and continuous process improvement.

Blackburn joined JDI in 2006 as a product engineer, where he led strategic sourcing initiatives in Asia.

"Jack's new role supports JDI's core principle on increasing product availability and targeting the industry's highest fill rate," JDI President Rob Christy said.

Riggs, who joined JDI in 2017, will lead the development, planning and execution of new and existing products. He will continue to be responsible for market research and strategy, competitive product analysis, vendor relationships, pricing and sales support.

He held various management positions at Dayco for more than 15 years prior to joining JDI.

In McNulty's new role as traffic manager, he will be responsible for transportation and logistics including the management of routing inbound and outbound shipments. He will also continue to monitor, track, and align relationships with vendors, customers, suppliers and internal departments on transportation expectations and potential interruptions.

McNulty joined JDI in 2000 as a warehouse associate. His role has expanded over the last 21 years and he became traffic coordinator four years ago.

"All of these promotions further support our core principles and business goals. Every day we are adapting to the evolving demands of the industry, and with these new roles we are setting ourselves up for further success and the opportunity to offer our customers even more quality products we proudly put our name on," Christy said.

Barberton-based JDI's product lines include fuel storage and handling equipment, used oil and fluid handling equipment, auto service equipment, EuroVent vehicle exhaust extraction systems, Dynamic automotive fasteners and supplies, and Dynamic TPMS solutions.
