Heintschel Truck Tire Center has converted capacity at its Texarkana retread plant to the Marangoni Ringtread circular process.

TEXARKANA, Texas — Heintschel Truck Tire Center has converted capacity at its Texarkana retread plant to the Marangoni Ringtread circular process.

The conversion — from the Goodyear UniCircle process — complements Heintschel's recent decision to shift flat tread production to Pre-Q Galgo Corp.'s products, the company said.

Texarkana-based Heinstchel Truck Tire Center was founded in 1973 by Arlen Heintschel. It offers commercial truck, OTR, agricultural and industrial tires, as well as retreads.

Heintschel President Garry Heintschel called Marangoni the "perfect fit for our business, as they offer a premium product, Ringtread ..."

Heintschel has begun retreading at its plan using the Ringtread process.

Heintschel said Marangoni is "well positioned in the market" and provided "outstanding service."

Lucas Salcedo, chief operating officer of Marangoni Tread North American, welcomed Heintschel to the Marangoni network, pointing out that the firm built its business "on servicing their customer's needs (and) offering a high-quality product, which makes them a perfect business partner for us."

Heintschel had converted its Texarkana plant to the Goodyear UniCircle process in 2009. The company did not elaborate on its reasons for moving away from that process.

Heintschel becomes the third Marangoni licensed retreader in Texas. The others are King Country Trailer & Service in Friona and Cook Tire & Service in the Nacogdoches area.

King Country is a Ringtread licensee; Cook Tire is a Unitread (flat tread) customer.
