Hankook Tire holding company adopts Hankook & Co. identity

SEOUL, South Korea — Hankook Technology Group, the holding company of Hankook Tire & Technology Co. Ltd., changed its name to Hankook & Co. shortly before year-end to "embody the company's long-term vision" and "leverage its affiliates' brand awareness and create synergy effect."

The new name reflects the firm's push for "sustainable growth," taking into consideration strategic mergers and acquisitions and business expansions in years to come.

Hankook & Co.'s affiliates will accelerate technological innovations and service development on the global stage and will contribute to consolidating the competitiveness of the group.

Operating under the Hankook & Co. name are: Hankook Tire & Technology Co. Ltd.; Hankook AtlasBX Co. Ltd.; Hankook Precision Works Co. Ltd.; Hankook Networks Co. Ltd.; Hankook Engineering Works Co. Ltd.; Hankook Car & Life Co. Ltd.; and Model Solution Co. Ltd.

Hankook & Co. owns 30.7% of Hankook Tire's shares, according to the firm's fiscal 2019 financial figures

At the same time, the company said it intends to boost innovation and creativity in internal communication and collaboration, further fostering its unique corporate culture called "Proactive Culture," which encourages employees to become voluntary innovators.
