Hankook Tire continues to grow its passenger product portfolio in America with 50 new sizes across its Kinergy PT (H737) and Kinergy ST (H735) lines.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Hankook Tire America Inc. has expanded the size range of its Kinergy PT and Kinergy ST all-season touring tire lines by over 50 sizes, which are being produced at the company's plant in Clarksville, Tenn.

Hankook introduced the Kinergy PT line in 2017 as the first tire line produced exclusively at the U.S. plant and added the companion ST version in April 2018.

The Kinergy PT is described as a "premium" all-season grand touring tire targeted at owners of cars and SUVs. Hankook backs this model with a 90,000-mile limited treadwear warranty, free road-hazard coverage and a 30-day free trial.

The PT's tread pattern features wide circumferential grooves for enhanced water evacuation for better traction in wet conditions. It carries an 860/A/A UTQG rating and is "optimized" for long-distance travel, safety and driving performance, the company said.

Hankook is adding 32 sizes to the PT line, expanding the size range to 58 sizes covering 14- to 19-inch rim diameters, ranging from 185/65R14 to 255/45R19 in T, H or V speed ratings.

The Kinergy ST is described as a "standard" touring all-season tire that's offered with a white sidewall version. Hankook backs the ST with a 70,000-mile limited treadwear warrant, a 30-day free trial and road-hazard coverage.

The ST features an "optimized" tread element pitch sequence that helps reduce road noise and increase comfort, Hankook said, as well as variable-angle siping the tie-bar integration for better all-season performance.

Hankook is adding 20 sizes to the ST line, expanding the size range to 66 SKUs covering 13- to 17-inch rim diameters, ranging from 175/70R13 to 235/60R18 in T and H speed ratings.

Hankook said these two Kinergy products cover a wide range of SKUs found on popular U.S. vehicles.

"By offering over 50 new sizes across our Kinergy line, consumers have more options than ever when it comes to finding a safe, comfortable, and fuel-efficient tire to meet their daily driving needs," Peter Jung, senior vice president and chief operating officer at Hankook Tire America, said.

Hankook did not disclose pricing information.

The Kinergy PT and ST complement the Kinergy GT, an all-season, runflat premium grand touring tire that's original equipment on the BMW X3 and Ford Explorer.
