NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Hankook Tire America Corp. is nearly doubling the size range of its Ventus V2 Concept2 all-season ultra-high-performance tire line to 45 SKUs, covering 17- to 20-inch rim diameters.
"We have seen a steady increase in popularity for larger rim diameters in the market, with our OE supply of 18-plus-inch tires increasing from 46% to 65% since 2014," Curtis Brison, vice president of North American PCLT sales, said.
The Ventus V2 Concept2 is Hankook's entry-level all-season UHP tire. It launched in 2013.
"Expanding our size offerings to include these popular larger rim diameters will allow us to grow our competitive edge and better serve the needs of our customers and consumers."
The 23 new sizes will be produced at Hankook's plant in Clarksville, Tenn.
The H and V speed-rated product's size range now runs from 195/50R15 to 275/40R20.
The Ventus V2 Concept2 features a 3D point effect and center rib block for optimal handling and braking performance. The tire also features an improved pattern profile that enhances stability during high-speed driving as well as a noise care block to provide a quiet and comfortable ride.
Hankook offers a 30-day free trial, road-hazard warranty and 45,000-mile warranty on the tire.
