ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Hahn Automotive Warehouse Inc. has acquired fellow parts distributor Carparts Distribution Center Inc. of Plaistow, N.H.
Carparts President Stan Lewis will continue with the company as general manager for the New England store group.
Hahn distributes automotive aftermarket parts through its 20 distribution centers to 60 Advantage Auto Stores, Genuine Auto Parts and Speedway Auto Parts locations and to over 2,000 independent jobbers in the Midwest and along the Eastern Seaboard.
Carparts' Plaistow warehouse distributes parts to 20 jobber/retail stores in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine.
Hahn and Carparts are both members of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance Inc., an international buying and marketing association.
Hahn said it decided to acquire Carparts based on Carparts' performance as a well-managed company with a commitment to growth and customer service in the New England market.
"We are excited to be expanding our footprint in the New England area with a family-owned business with similar values and business practices as Hahn," Hahn Co-President and CEO Daniel J. Chessin said.
"With the acquisition of Carparts, we are able to strengthen the Auto Value brand and expand our product offering to ensure that our customers are supplied with the parts they need," Hahn Co-President and CEO Eli N. Futerman said.
Carparts celebrated 45 years in business in 2020.
