COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — Specialty tire manufacturer Global Rubber Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. (GRI) said it will begin supplying agricultural tires to Joskin Col., a Belgium-based manufacturer of farm machinery.
Joskin, which has been in business since 1968, produces ag trailers, tankers and related equipment for us globally. It specializes in ag transportation and spreading equipment.
"For Joskin, quality, price, reputation of the supplier and the service of the distributor are key factors in choosing partners," Kurt Verbrugge, sales director – Europe for GRI, said. "The combination of strengths of our distributor Agrityre, and GRI proved to be elements for a strong partnership, and it will pave the way for further exciting collaboration with Jsokin in the future."
GRI is supplying its Green Ex FL700 heavy duty floatation tire for Joskin slurry tankers. This specially designed tire is is able to withstand heavy loads and performs well under harsh conditions. It has a wide tread design and heavy load capacity at low inflation pressure, providing for increased balance and reduced soil compaction.
According to GRI, the tire's reinforced sidewall protects against impacts, resulting in extended tire life and reliability. GRI's Green Ex tires are fitted in customized rims by Agrityre and supplied to Joskin.
Mahesha Ranasoma, CEO of GRI, said the Joskin group is "well-known among Europe's agricultural sector and across 60 countries around the world."
GRI, which produces radial agriculture tires, construction tires and material handling solid tires, recently debuted a revamped website.
The company is constructing a rubber mixing facility in the Mirigama Export Processing Zone in Sri Lanka while readying to increase tire capacity.
