COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — Global Rubber Industries Ltd. (GRI) has expanded its specialty agriculture line, adding four sizes to its Green EX RT 100 tractor bias and one size to its Green EX FL800 flotation bias series.

The Green EX RT 100 will be available in the 30.5L-32 size, in four SKUs: one with 18-ply rating with a tube and a second tubeless; and one with a 20-ply rating with a tube, and a second tubeless.

GRI said the product is made for both on- and off-road use, and it features optimized lug angle and self-cleaning terracing in the space between the lugs that enhances the self-cleaning characteristics of the tire in soft soil and mud.

GRI said the tie bar design provides better lug stability on hard surfaces, while its dual-angle design with steep angles at the center gives a more comfortable ride as well as improved soil cleaning. The shallow angle at its shoulder provides traction in the field, while its nylon case ensures durability.

The Green EX FL 800, with what GRI calls one of the widest tread footprints in the industry, is available in the 700/40-22.5 size. The tire maker said it added the size because of the success and demand of the FL 800 pattern.

The tire's tread design, coupled with a multi-lug angle, delivers excellent traction on the field, GRI said, as well as exceptional flotation properties. The tire's high center block-to-lug ratio and wide lug width offer low soil damage and roadability

Late last year, GRI launched the Green XLR Earth 65+ radial agriculture tire, which, like others in the portfolio, is produced with 37.5% sustainable materials, while maintaining high performance and productivity for tractors.

GRI recently was granted a tire plant identification code by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) — necessary for selling tires in the U.S. intended for on-highway use — for its factory in Badalgama, Sri Lanka.
