HAYWARD, Calif. — Goodyear is partnering with Aperia Technologies Inc. for Goodyear's global Tires-as-a-Service (TaaS) solution, using Aperia's Halo Connect i3 technology.
According to Aperia, TaaS combines Goodyear's premium tires, monitoring, predictive insights and "industry-leading service footprint" into a subscription-based solution.
According to Aperia, TaaS is designed to help fleets save time and lower cost of ownership through outsourced tire management.
"Maintaining optimal tire pressure is essential for improving fuel efficiency, reducing tire wear and enhancing overall fleet performance," Gregory Boucharlat, vice president, Goodyear Tires-as-a-Service, said. "The Halo Connect i3 is an integral component of our comprehensive TaaS solution, and we're proud to work with Aperia to deliver a seamless experience and unparalleled value to our fleet customers."
Aperia reports that several Goodyear commercial and last-mile delivery fleet customers say they are saving around 3% on fuel, and there are more than half few breakdowns, keeping fleets operating.
Goodyear's TaaS solution is available in North America and Europe. The Halo Connect i3 automatic tire inflator includes integrated tire pressure sensing, remote setpoint adjustments and customized inflation settings for every fleet.
Ralph Dimenna, chief commercial officer at Aperia Technologies, said the company lauded the company's partnership with Goodyear.
"It provides another opportunity for Aperia to power the future of tire management as Goodyear expands the TaaS offering in North America and Europe," Demenna said. "With a million tires under management and 100 billion real-world miles, this exclusive agreement is a strong testament to the reliability and performance of our technology and the value it provides to fleets."
