NEWNAN, Ga. — A technician at a Georgia tire shop died April 16 from injuries he sustained after being pinned under a recreational vehicle (RV).
Timothy "TJ" Welling, 26, was taking a wheel off an RV at Buck's Tire & Auto Repair in Newnan when the vehicle slid off an air jack and pinned him underneath, according to the Coweta County coroner.
Welling was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No further details about the incident have been released. Police said it is still under investigation.
A GoFundMe page was set up to support Welling's wife and four children by Michele Umlauf, who identifies herself as Welling's sister.
Buck's Tire is a AAA-approved repair facility that's been in business since 2009. The owner is Buck Floyd, according to the dealership's web site.
