MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — General Tire Canada Inc. has renewed its broadcast partnership with the Raceline Radio Network for the 2021 racing season.
General, which has been associated with the program the three previous years, said it is Canada's only nationally syndicated motorsport radio program.
General said it will have a "full marketing presence" in each syndicated Raceline Radio Network program broadcast nationally, while continuing to present Raceline's weekly NASCAR Pinty's Series Report as a feature within the show, promoting General Tire as the official racing tire of NASCAR Pinty's stock car racing series in Canada.
Okan Sen, Continental Tire Canada's national marketing manager, said motorsports have continued to operate safely and responsibly during the pandemic, and that producing tires safely remains the focus of General Tire Canada.
"Our auto racing program is vital to our research in engineering superior street tires for our global customers," Mr. Sen said. "The Raceline Radio Network, with its long established and extremely loyal listener base over their 29 years on the air will continue to help promote General Tire brand awareness, adding even greater racing exposure and value across Canada."
Raceline Radio Network anchor and producer Erik Tomas said the show's history with the NASCAR Pinty's Series goes back to the very beginning to its CASCAR roots.
"For the past 29 years on the air, we've covered the NPS extensively with race results, stories and featured guest interviews," Mr. Tomas said. "Having General Tire sustain the title sponsorship of that coverage for 2021 adds yet another page to our storied history."
The Raceline Radio Network is distributed and marketed by Rogers Communications.
