MEXICO CITY — Tread rubber and retread supplies manufacturer Pre-Q Galgo is celebrating 70 years in business this month.
Industrias de Hule Galgo S.A. de C.V., Pre-Q Galgo's parent company, began producing and selling shoe soles in August 1952 in Mexico City, and soon therafter expanded to rubber flooring and mats, gaskets, tubes, flaps and tire retreading products.
"From the beginning, our mission has been to ensure that our company and brands stand for quality, loyalty, trust and an undying commitment to our customers. At Galgo, our colleagues are not just employees but rather a part of an extended family where we all share in the beliefs and values that were the foundation that was laid down 70 years ago by our founder and my father, Jose Suarez Sr.," CEO Jose Suarez Jr., said.
Galgo sells products worldwide and has more than 1,200 employees. The company has international distribution centers in Mexico, the U.S., Colombia and Belgium, as well as four branches and its corporate office in Mexico City.
