LAS VEGAS — Fury Off-Road Tires, the Irving, Texas-based private brander catering to the extreme light truck sector, is branching into the recreational off-road sector with the Country Hunter UTV, designed for the growing full-size ultra-terrain vehicle market.

Established in 2016, Fury Off-Road is launching the Country Hunter in three 15-inch rim diameter sizes — 28x10.00/15; 31x10.00/15 and 34x10.00/15 — which cover nearly 100% of fitments for this sector, according to Joe Jones, sales manager.

Global demand for ATVs and UTVs is expected to grow over 7% annually through 2027, according to research from Allied Analytics L.L.P.

    • This article appears in the Feb. 3 print edition of Tire Business.

The Country Hunter UTV features a tread compound specially formulated to be chunk and tear-resistant, as well as an eight-ply design that offers puncture-resistant sidewalls and durable belts for driving control, Fury Off-Road said.

Fury Off-Road Tires salesmen Joe Jones and Robert Day show off their company’s Country Hunter UTV tire, which debuted at the 2019 SEMA Show.

The tire is suitable for off-road handling while offering on-road comfort and grip in wet conditions, the company said. Fury is sourcing the new product line in Thailand, according to required information on the tire's sidewalls.

At the same time, Fury has expanded the size offerings for its Country Hunter M/T and R/T models, adding five sizes to the M/T and seven to the R/T series, and launched the Country Hunter M/T II for the more serious off-roaders.

The new sizes expand the M/T's size range to 40 sizes, ranging from 33x12.50R17LT to 42x16.50R30LT. The R/T line now comprises 16 sizes ranging from 35.12.50R17LT to 37x13.50R22LT.

Fury Off-Road is backing the expanded Country Hunter M/T line with a four-year limited treadwear warranty. The company sources its products from manufacturers in China, Taiwan and Thailand.

Fury Off-Road relocated its headquarters and warehouse last summer into one facility, a 75,000-sq.-ft. structure in Irving that provides the company with capacity to have more than 30,000 tires in stock.
