NORTH CANTON, Ohio — Alan E. Cohn, a former Goodyear executive who spent his much of his career in the commercial tire industry, died April 28 at age 66.
Mr. Cohn spent 28 years at Goodyear, establishing himself as a specialist in shaping industry protocol as it relates to tire development and other issues relating to tire use and wear.
In early 2006, Mr. Cohn joined Pressure Systems International Inc. (PSI) in the newly created position of director of new market development and engineering support. PSI makes and markets automatic tire-inflation systems and provides customer valued services and tire maintenance-related solutions.
Mr. Cohn was born in Chicago and graduated from the University of Illinois. He received a "Silver Spark Plug" designation by the American Trucking Associations' Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC).
He is survived by his wife Ingrid; children, Marty Cohn and Daniel (Elisa) Cohn; two grandchildren; and a brother, Mark (Karen) Cohn.
