Firestone Ag debuts Bridgestone VX, VT and VX-R tires

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Firestone Ag, a division of Bridgestone Americas Inc., is introducing Bridgestone tractor tires to U.S. and Canadian farmers and custom operators.

All three tires in the Bridgestone lineup feature the tire maker's triple-defense rubber compound engineered to resist wear, protect against stubble and enhance durability.

Three options are available in popular sizes:

• The VX-Tractor tire, engineered for high-horsepower tractors at farming operations that require frequent roading, offers extended wear life and more lug volume, the company said. The tire is available in 28- to 34-inch diameter front sizes and 38- to 42-inch rears.

• The VT-Tractor is a high-horsepower tire with embedded VF technology and integrates multiple tread and compound features to improve traction and on-road wear while reducing fuel costs and soil compaction. The tire is available in 30- to 34-inch front sizes and 38- to 42-inch rears.

• The VX-R Tractor features a wide tread pattern to extend the performance of the VX-Tractor tire to popular tractors of 135 hp or less. The ultra-wide design tread pattern expands the tire's contact area for improved wear life, traction and ride comfort, the company said. The tire is available in 24-inch front and 30- and 34-inch rear sizes.

The tires feature the latest technologies, the company said, including:

• Triple-defense rubber formulation engineered for improved wear resistance and stubble protection;

• Patented Involute lug design to help minimize energy loss and deliver fuel-efficient traction with minimal slip and soil disturbance, offsetting the potential for soil erosion;

• Greater lug volume and overlapping lug pattern for frequent road use; and

• Proprietary S-Line technology for reinforced sidewalls to improve upon traditional VF technology to help reduce soil compaction without sacrificing durability, even under severe loads at VF inflation pressures, the company said.

Bridgestone tractor tires are backed by a 10-year limited warranty and will be available for order in the U.S. and Canada starting Sept. 1 through Firestone Ag dealers.
