RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. — Nissan North America has selected the Falken ZIEX ZE001 A/S as an OE fitment on the front-wheel-drive models of the redesigned 2021 Nissan Rogue crossover.
Powered by a 181-hp 2.5-liter inline four engine, paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission, the 2021 Rogue is available as either front- or all-wheel driveAWD with enhanced driving dynamics and features the most standard safety technologies in its class, according to Nissan North America.
The ZIEX ZE001 A/S has four circumferential grooves that evacuate water and enhance hydroplaning resistance and stability in wet conditions, the company said. Additionally, chamfered tread block corners support even wear throughout the tire's life, and a solid center rib targets handling response.
"Once again, we're very proud to have been selected as a trusted tire supplier for Nissan's ever-popular crossover, the Rogue," David Colletti, vice president, OE/technology and QA, said.
"We know the Rogue is an important vehicle to Nissan, and we believe our ZIEX ZE001 all-season tire is the perfect fit for both the crossover and the needs of the Rogue's drivers."
The companies did not publish the tire sizes at this time.
Falken Tires, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd., previously was an OE supplier on the 2016-18 Rogue.
