Acura reports that one or more of the door locks on some 2009-11 TSX models may make a high-pitched whining noise when activated by the switch or key fob, or may not work at all.
One likely cause, says the carmaker, is contamination or excess vibration in the door lock motor brushes. New door latch assemblies with upgraded motors are now available to eliminate the problems. In addition to the latches you'll also have to replace the seals that go together with each latch.
