BIRMINGHAM, Ala.— Looking to capture a larger share of customers using mobile devices to search for and schedule automotive service, Express Oil Change/Tire Engineers has revamped its website to make it more accessible for that growing segment of the population.
The Birmingham-based auto service provider and franchisor — a business unit of Mavis Tire since 2018 — does business at 320-plus company-owned and franchised locations in 19 states, primarily throughout the Sun Belt.
"In the same way Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers became a one-stop shop for automotive services, our website now offers an all-in-one solution for accessing maintenance and repair service," Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers President Jim Durkin said.
"This new offering perfectly aligns with our mission of providing the highest quality automotive products and services delivered quickly and conveniently in a superior environment," he said, "and when customers arrive for their service, they will continue to be met by a friendly, professional staff that emphasizes integrity in every action.
In reaching its decision to upgrade its web presence, Express Oil Change noted a 125% increase in online appointments over the last two years, with 80% of traffic coming from mobile devices.
With the upgraded site, customers can browse services, shop and compare tires, estimate financing, print quotes or schedule an appointment conveniently, the company said. A store locater with a directions function eases the task of accessing service when traveling in unfamiliar areas.
Kelsie Sapp, digital marketing manager, noted that the enhanced website operates "seamlessly across all devices," making it easier for customers to navigate and more functional to meet their needs in the moment.
Enhanced service scheduling allows customers to access store specific appointments and discounts, choose from dropping off or waiting for the vehicle, and receive text updates about their services, the company said.
