    AUSTIN, Texas — Epicor Software Corp. has launched a series of free webinars designed to help automotive service businesses connect with existing and new customers during the current period of social distancing.

    The first session offered detailed information for users of the Epicor MechanicNet Cloud CRM program, a customer retention and outbound marketing solution featuring a suite of communication and business growth tools.

    "Right now, every consumer-facing business is challenged to maintain relationships with customers who are not physically visiting their stores as often. Finding creative and personalized ways to maintain those connections can become a competitive advantage," Stephen Gannon, automotive business lead, Epicor, said.

    "The MechanicNet Cloud CRM solution offers a variety of options to help keep customers close. Our webinar series highlights tools shops can use to craft and deliver compelling messages that can help keep them top of mind for vehicle owners, now and in the future."

    The first webinar provided participants with a variety of best practices for using the solution to keep their shops in front of customers on a virtual basis, along with guidance for building customer confidence:

    • Email, texting, and postcard creation capabilities to build, target and send effective customized messages;

    • Tips for updating shop websites with appropriate messaging and promotions, and coordinating those efforts with social media; and

    • Best practices for managing business operations and customer service in a "hands-free" environment.

    The second webinar in the series will highlight new Epicor MechanicNet Cloud CRM features that are especially effective in the "New Now," the company said.
