HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Attendees who register for the 2020 Clemson University Global Tire Industry Conference ahead of the Jan. 31 early bird deadline will save $100 on the conference rate.
Cost for the conference, scheduled for April 28-30 in Hilton Head, is $895 for individuals or $795 each for those attending with a group. Those rates increase by $100 after Jan. 31.
As in previous years, The Clemson Tire Industry Conference is an interdisciplinary event designed to present the latest developments in tire design, materials, research and development, legislative and regulatory issues affecting the tire industry, and allied industries such as automobiles and production and testing equipment.
The organizers have as yet not announced speakers, but have set five themes for this year’s conference:
- Testing, Investigations & Liability
- Future Tire Trends / Requirements
- Tire Industry Outlook --- Inside/Outside Perspective
- Innovations in Tire Materials
- The Tire’s Last Mile Delivery --- Recycling & Sustainability
Begun in 1985, the event originally was sponsored by the Clemson University School of Textiles and centered on the manufacture of tire cords, according to conference publicity.
Today, the program,sponsored by the Clemson University Center for Corporate Learning, boasts international participation and covers subject across the tire and automotive industries.
