DIAMOND BAR, Calif. — Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) member companies have elected Kyle Fickler, director of sales and business development at Driven Racing Oil, as the association's chairman-elect, putting him in line for the chairmanship in 2023.
Mr. Fickler succeeds James Lawrence, CEO of Power Automedia L.L.C., who will begin his two-year term as chairman in July, succeeding Tim Martin, CEO of Market Advisors, who's held the post since July 2019.
In addition, three new board members — Brian Reese, CEO of Retrofit Source/Driven Lighting Group; Larry Montante, vice president, category management at Keystone Automotive Operations; and Lindsay Hubley of Lodestone Events — were elected, and Kim Pendergast of Magnuson Superchargers and Steve Whipple of Jegs High Performance were re-elected to new terms.
SEMA board members are industry representatives who volunteer their time to lead and guide the association. They are elected by SEMA-member companies and represent the key membership categories: manufacturers, manufacturers' representative, distributors/retailers, and services.
The 2021-22 SEMA board will be recognized during the SEMA Installation & Gala on July 30 in Las Vegas.
Also being recognized for their service will be Wade Kawasaki of Legendary Companies (Coker Tire), outgoing immediate past chair, and board members Donnie Eatherly of P&E Distributors, Dan Kahn of Kahn Media and Brian Lounsberry of One 6 Motorsports.
The event will also feature a tribute to 2021 SEMA Hall of Fame inductees Jessi Combs, Rick Love, Bob Moore and Carl Schiefer.
