BOUCHERVILLE, Quebec — Distribution Stox, a partnership of several large Quebec tire distributors, has acquired Provincial Tire Distributors Inc., a Barrie, Ontario-based company in business for more than 30 years.
The partnership said the acquisition is part of its growth strategy and adds a new province in its distribution network.
Distribution Stox was formed in 2016 by Pneus Unimax Ltd., Distribution Pneus RT Ltd., Distribution DSP and Distribu-Pneus, which combined the operations of 19 distribution centers throughout Quebec and controlled over 100 delivery vehicles.
Today the company said it operates 18 distribution centers in Quebec with a fleet of more than 140 delivery vehicles.
Provincial Tire Distributors, previously owned by Alexa and Peter Labrecque, has distribution facilities in Barrie and Sudbury, Ontario.
"Over the coming weeks and months, we will work closely on a transition plan to synergize the strengths and the experience of both groups," Distribution Stox President and CEO Bruno Leclair said.
"The addition of new product lines, the implementation of new management tools and the sharing of expertise are examples of stimulating projects that make Distribution Stox confident about the future,"
"Our main objective is to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction with operational effectiveness and best business practices with the cooperation of a dedicated team of over 300 employees in 17 cities."
