SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Reinalt Thomas Corp. opened five retail stores over a four-day span recently in five states — Discount Tire sites in Iowa, Kansas, Tennessee and Wisconsin and one America's Tire in California — expanding the firm's network to nearly 1,070 stores in 36 states.
The new stores, and their opening dates, are in:
- Sacramento, Calif. (Sept. 28);
- Nashville, Tenn. (Sept. 28);

- Wichita, Kan. (Oct. 1); and

The Scottsdale-based dealership did not disclose the stores' size, number of bays, number of employees or investment, but said typically DIscount Tire stores average six service bays and cover 7,000 square feet, with inventory capacity for 3,500 units.
All the new stores are greenfield sites.
The openings strengthen the dealership's presence in the Great Plains, bringing to the number of stores to 10 in Iowa and to six in Kansas.
In Tennessee and Wisconsin, the store counts rise to 22 and six, respectively, while in California the total rises to 177.
Earlier this year, Reinalt Thomas expanded into its 36th state, opening a Discount Tire store in Pittsburgh, two-and-a-half years after disclosing it was targeting the Keystone state as an area for growth.
The dealership is marking its 60th year in business during 2020.
