FINDLAY, Ohio — Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. is rolling out a broadline tire line, the Endeavor/Endeavor Plus, aimed at owners in North America of passenger cars and SUVs looking for reliability and value.
The new all-season lines will replace the Evolution Tour and Evolution HT tires in the Cooper portfolio, the company said, without commenting on the timeline for that happening.
"When developing the new Endeavor and Endeavor Plus, our goal was to create tires that are truly all-around performers," Michiel Kramer, executive director of product marketing, said.
"We also focused on the needs of both consumers and tire dealers. The tires offer great mileage, as well as wet and dry handling performance. At the same time, we have expanded the size offering specifically for CUV and SUV fitments while reducing portfolio complexity, resulting in an easy-to-sell product."
The Endeavor/Endeavor Plus lines launch July 5 with 67 sizes available eventually covering 15- to 22-inch rim diameters for passenger, CUV / SUV and pickup trucks.
Cooper did not disclose pricing information related to the new lines.
Cooper said the two tires "excel in treadwear, wet performance and steering response" and feature 65,000-mile limited treadwear warranties. Cooper claims they provide 15% better treadwear than the Evolution Tour and Evolution HT tires they're replacing.
"A new silica tread compound, combined with water evacuation channels and biting edges in the treads, gives the new Endeavor tires improved wet and snow braking," Cooper Tire said.
The tires feature a nylon-overlay construction that distributes pressure evenly across the tread to increase tread life by 15%. A new inner construction also enhances handling, the company said.
The Evolution and Evolution H/T have been in Cooper's lineup since 2017.
Both new lines are now available for dealers to order through their local Cooper Tire sales representative. Cooper Tire is now a subsidiary of Goodyear following its recent acquisition.
