FORT MILL, S.C. — Continental Tire the Americas' General Tire brand has added an all-season commercial van and fleet tire, the Grabber HD Van, to its commercial portfolio that it claims lasts up to 25% longer than leading competitors.
The tire, which launches in four "C"-spec sizes for the growing portfolio of Euro-style delivelry vans, was developed for long-lasting treadwear under loaded conditions and comes with Duragen Technology, "which provides robust durability and enhanced sidewall protection," according to General Tire.
The tire has additional rubber gauge on the sidewall to stand up more robustly against curbs and other sidewall abrasions. The Durgan Technology also "enhances strength and durability, delivers cut-and-chip resistance and extends tread life," General Tire said.
According to General Tire, the Grabber HD Van also boasts balanced performance on wet and dry roads and dependable stability under loaded conditions.
“We are excited to add this new tire to the General Tire portfolio and to our customers,” Travis Roffler, director of marketing for Continental Tire, said.
“This is a new tire offering ,and we are confident that this tire delivers both the performance and durability our van and fleet consumers need.”
The product launches in four sizes, 195/75R16C, 185/60R15C, 195/70R15C and 235/65R16C, and are either R or T speed rated. One other size, 225/75R16C, will remain in the Grabber HD range.
