HANOVER, Germany — Continental A.G. has expanded its TeleMaster portfolio for the construction industry with the TeleMaster V.ply pneumatic tire and the TeleMaster Solid Clean version.
With this expansion, the TeleMaster portfolio grows to eight tire specifications for the telehandler application. These tailor-made solutions provide customers with the ability to work on a wider range of job sites and applications, Conti said.
The new TeleMaster V.ply was developed in partnership with JLG for their telehandler fleets.
The new TeleMaster V.ply is designed for end-users that regularly travel longer distances between job sites and are looking for an all-around tire fitment that offers a comfortable ride, high stability and where low heat build-up is required, the company said.
Due to Continental's V.ply carcass construction, the tire maker said the TeleMaster V.ply has a high sidewall stability and robustness against damages. An extra-large footprint offers high flotation capabilities on loose ground and under versatile off-road conditions.
"For more mileage, we have significantly increased the wear volume. Additionally, for customers who use foam-filled pneumatic tires, the new tire design requires less foam resources, which reduces costs and increases sustainability at the same time," Reinhard Klant, product line manager for earthmoving tires at Continental, said.
"The launch of our new TeleMaster V.ply together with JLG represents a further great step in our mutual partnership to offer leading solutions to the construction and material handling industries," Carly Shipley, OE key account manager for earthmoving tires at Continental, said.
The TeleMaster solid line with its Clean Non-Marking version for all sensitive telehandler applications is designed for areas where long-lasting non-marking tire operations are mandatory.
The advanced solid three-layer construction offers a comfortable ride and long service life, the company said.
The non-marking tire is available worldwide and offers customers the flexibility to work on a wider range of job sites without leaving marks or damaging surfaces.
