BARBERTON, Ohio — Automotive aftermarket equipment and products distributor JohnDow Industries Inc. has promoted Robert Christy to president, succeeding Drew Dawson, who's retiring.
Mr. Christy will be responsible for the management and growth of the company, which distributes products in a range of automotive service categories, including: fluid handling, air movement, around the wheel, storage solutions and maintenance/repair.
Mr. Christy has been vice president of sales and marketing since 2016 and has been instrumental in JohnDow Industries' long-term growth strategy, as well as the development of new products, the company said.
Mr. Christy replaces former president Drew Dawson, whose family owns part of JohnDow. Mr. Dawson is retiring from the company but will focus on other businesses he owns, according to Mr. Christy.
"This is an important time for JohnDow Industries as we continue to develop new products and services to support our customers in the automotive service industry," Mr. Christy said in an announcement of his new position. "I am looking forward to this challenge while working closely with our associates and customers to continue assisting the industry in making automotive repair operations run more efficiently and safely."
Prior to joining JohnDow, he was director of marketing for Dayco Products for 11 years and has more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience developing and directing strategic national sales initiatives.
