Cassidy Tire, Best One to open commercial shop in Ill.

JOLIET, Ill. — Cassidy Tire & Service and Best-One Tire & Service have teamed up to open a 10-bay commercial tire service location in Joliet, with an expected opening date in early 2022.

The companies, which said their newly established partnership could lead to additional co-owned/jointly operated shops, broke ground in September on a 19,000-sq.-ft. structure on a site a few miles southwest of Joliet.

The shop will operate under joint Cassidy Best-One Tire & Service signage and be focused predominantly on commercial tire service but also with capacity for customers with passenger and light truck tire and/or automotive service needs.

Ketone Partners L.L.C., a full-service real estate development and advisory company, is overseeing construction of the location and has signed both Cassidy and Best-One as tenants. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The precast concrete construction, with 10 commercial drive-in and drive-out tire and service bays and 18-foot ceiling heights, is being built on approximately three acres of land in Ketone's Rock Creek Logistics Center near Joliet, which offers direct access to Interstates 80 and 55.

In a prepared statement, the companies said their respective family-led management teams "recognized an opportunity and need for additional mobility solutions in the Joliet area." The new partners noted that one-third of the nation's freight traffic passes through the I-80/I-55 interchange.

In business since 1914, family-owned Cassidy Tire has 15 locations in the Chicago area, specializing in retail, commercial and OTR business.

Monroe, Ind.-based Best-One Tire & Service, owned by the Zurcher family, operates more than 250 locations in 28 states, specializing in retail, commercial, agricultural and OTR tire businesses.
