OTTAWA — The Automotive Industries Association of Canada is encouraging tire dealers and automotive service shops to take advantage of the new federal Grow Your Business Online grant that will help up to 90,000 small businesses take advantage of e-commerce opportunities.
The micro-grants are part of the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) Prime Minister Justin Trudeau launched March 3 to help Canadian small- and medium-sized businesses grow their online presence and upgrade or adopt digital technologies.
The Grow Your Business Online program, sponsored by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), will award up to $2,400 to eligible businesses to help with the costs related to adopting digital technologies. Grants will be available through local and regional service providers across Canada.
Eligible costs include: implementation of a digital e-commerce plan (e.g. online reservation/booking tools, online ordering systems, electronic payments); website search optimization; installation of an e-commerce platform ; back-office solutions to support an e-commerce strategy; social media advertising; and creation of customer databases.
