SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The COVID-19 pandemic has another casualty: The California Tire Dealers Association (CTDA) has canceled its 2021 New Year's Luncheon.
The annual event, sponsored by 1-800EveryRim, was scheduled for January 2021.
CTDA President Billy Eordekian said he regrets having to cancel the event, which would have featured the inaugural appearance of Tire Industry Association CEO Roy Littlefield.
"I was so disappointed, but appreciative of your safety and health concerns, that the industry's greatest annual luncheon, scheduled for January, was canceled," Mr. Littlefield said in a statement. "But if invited, I'll be back in January 2022, and I look forward to seeing you then."
Federated Insurance has been a top speaker in the past. The lineup of speakers has included executives representing the Specialty Equipment Market Association and TIA.
Incoming TIA President Dan Nothdurft, owner of Tires, Tires, Tires of Sioux Falls, S.D., spoke at last year's event.
