NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Bridgestone Americas L.L.C. is upgrading its Firestone Destination SUV/CUV/light truck tire line with the LE3, the third generation of the brand's top-selling all-season tire for this category.

Backed by a 70,000-mile limited warranty, the tire is the successor to the LE2, which has been on the market since 2012. The LE3 provides dependable, long-lasting performance and improved safety in the rain, Bridgestone said.

The Destination LE3 launches with 66 sizes, which Bridgestone claims cover 87% of light trucks, SUVs and CUVs on the road today. Sizing starts at 215/75R15 and runs through 285/45R22 in either T or H speed ratings. The range includes six "extra-load" SKUs.

Retail pricing starts at $120.99. The line features both blackwall and outline white letter versions

"We designed the Firestone Destination LE3 tire to deliver uncompromising, all-season performance," Erik Seidel, president, consumer replacement tire sales, U.S. and Canada, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, said.

"This is a versatile tire that drivers can depend on, regardless of their destination or the weather conditions."

The Destination LE3 features the company's Hydro-Grip Technology package, which incorporates a tread pattern that reduces the risk of hydroplaning, thus offering improved safety in the rain versus the LE2.

Full-depth 3D sipes in the tread give the tire improved snow performance.

Bridgestone offers its 90-day "Buy & Try" guarantee on the LE3, which allows customers in the U.S. and Canada to return tires within 90 days for a full refund or exchange if they are not satisfied with their purchase.

Bridgestone will continue offering the LE2 as long as there is inventory, the company said. The LE2, which is OE on the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, is backed by a 60,000-mile warranty. Retail prices start at $104.99.

    The all-season Destination LE3 and LE2 lines are complemented by the Destination A/T, A/T2 and X/T all-season light/medium truck lines and M/T2 maximum-traction line for off-roading. https://www.firestonetire.com/catalog?brand=Destination
