The Bridgestone WeatherPeak has has ridges in the groove channel to help snow compaction and high-speed water flow for better winter traction.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Bridgestone Americas Inc. has launched the Bridgestone WeatherPeak touring tire, an all-season product engineered for sedans, minivans and crossovers.

The tire, which has the 3-peak mountain snowflake certification, is available in 56 sizes in the U.S. and Canada, fitting 87% of the sedans, minivans and crossovers on the road today, according to Bridgestone, including replacement fitments such as the Audi Q5, BMW 3 Series, Honda Accord, Honda Odyssey, Jeep Cherokee, Toyota RAV4 and Volkswagen Golf.

The tire comes with a 70,000-mile limited warranty. Bridgestone said the tire provides efficient water evacuation in wet conditions, while its full depth 3D sipes wear longer and grip on snow-covered roads.

The tire also has ridges in the groove channel to help snow compaction and high-speed water flow for better winter traction, according to the tire maker.

Ian McKenney, senior product manager, consumer replacement tire sales and marketing, Bridgestone Americas, lauded the technological advancements of the WeatherPeak.

"Drivers are increasingly looking for safe, yet practical tires that provide confident control for any season, weather or journey," McKenney said. "The Bridgestone WeatherPeak tire provides a superior design to meet that demand and help drivers stay in control no matter the condition of the road."

Bridgestone said the tire's launch aligns with the Bridgestone E8 Commitment, which consists of eight e values starting with the letter "E" that reflect sustainability. The Bridgestone WeatherPeak supports the "ease" and "empowerment" values of the Bridgestone E8 Commitment, the tire maker said..
